Disturbing Noise or Just Happy Times

Here in the Philippines, houses and establishments are very near with each other. Streets are mostly narrow, wherein a vehicle can only pass by except for motorcycles where they could pass by twos. People tend to build small shelter-like shed where they could rest in the afternoon. Usually, temperature in the afternoon rises, that’s why people gather on the shed to have fresh air and to relief from heat. But sheds are often used even at night time where males gather to have drinking spree all the night. There might be no problems with it if they are only having good times. But what seems to be the problem is that, those males tend to be very noisy that is very irritating or stressful.

Another noise source is from establishments near houses like computer shops where teenagers are enjoying playing games. But, sometimes, when the shop is full, customers waited outside the shop for vacancy. But while the customers are waiting, they tend to share stories together and laughed out loud that brings noise to nearby houses.

Last noise source, are those from motorcycles that go at night. The engine of the motorcycle is good enough to say noisy but more to that, the added MP3 player that plays loud music makes them noisy while passing the street. Also, when motorcycles run very fast, they created a loud noise that is very irritating.

Here, it is hard to report this kind of disturbance on the locals because the noise is not permanent. Often, homeowners talk to people on the shed or the shop to lessen their noise. But sometimes those people have hard time to control their loud voices because they are having fun times together. Homeowners tend to understand their situation because sometimes it could be noisy on their own area and they don’t want to be stopped.

It is hard to stop the happiness same as to the noise that we might bring. So, what is the ending? The ending is just a simple nothing. Let the noise pass all over the night. Tomorrow is a start of another day and could hear less noise.
